Did you know that 1 in 4 children in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, two of the wealthiest counties in the nation, struggles with food insecurity? And did you know that many of the families facing food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs or visit food banks or other local programs for extra support? (Source: Feeding America)

With your generous support, we can expand our program to reach more schools and provide more students with a reliable source of supplemental weekend food. We are committed to ending hunger in all of Northern Virginia to help give ALL students a chance to succeed. Your generosity will make a difference.

Become a "Hunger Hero"

through Monthly Donations

As a "Hunger Hero," you can feel good that your commitment to our organization is helping us provide a reliable source of food to local students struggling with food insecurity.

One of the easiest ways to support Food For Neighbors is through monthly donations. Your recurring donation is so important because it allows us to resupply pantries before their shelves are empty. Students know they can count on us for food they need every weekend. Monthly donations also allow us to budget for future expansion into new schools, where we can reach more students that need our support.

Thanks to our committed Hunger Heroes, our schools and students know they can depend on Food For Neighbors to provide what they need when they need it.

How do you become a Hunger Hero? When you make your donation from any donation link on our website, remember to check the "monthly donation" box. Your donation will automatically be processed through PayPal each month until you cancel it. It’s that easy! (And your monthly donation is tax-deductible, too.)

Your donation today can help give local students a greater chance for success.

Your gift of $100 will help supply supplemental food to 25 students for one weekend.

Your gift of $250 will help build toiletry kits (including toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant) for at least 25 students.

Your gift of $500 will help provide 20 local families with grocery store gift cards to buy fresh food.

Your gift of $1000 will help start a pantry program in a local middle or high school.

Your gift of $5000 will help launch a Red Bag Program in two new schools.

Your generous gift will support local students who struggle with food insecurity by providing them a reliable source of nutritious food.
