Wrap Up 2024 with Kindness

Wrap up 2024 with kindness. With a generous gift to Food For Neighbors, you’ll make a meaningful impact in the lives of food insecure teens right in our community. Your donation will help us provide food, toiletries, and grocery gift cards, so students can start the new year with hope and nourishment. Can we count on you to bring hope to those who need it most?

The reality is that a staggering number of students in our community rely on schools for free and reduced-price meals. Many also depend on additional food support, like the weekend bags and snacks provided by Food For Neighbors, to supplement their nutrition on holidays and weekends.

  • In Loudoun and Arlington Counties, over 25% of students benefit from these meal programs, with one school reaching an incredible 91%!
  • In Fairfax County, the figure exceeds 33%.
Join us to make a lasting impact and spread warmth this season!

Your Support Helps Us Reach More Students

Your support is crucial in helping us meet the requirements for food when we bring our programs to new schools. When we launch a new program, we have many needs.

  • We need more Red Bag donors to help supply more food. With every new donor, we need two new bags, and we typically add 50-75 new donors per new school.
  • We need more supplies for new drivers who collect these bags, and more bins to safely store an increased amount of food in school pantries.
  • We need to provide equipment to new schools for food distribution or pantries, and, when a school becomes eligible, we need more monthly gift cards to support their most vulnerable families.

Make Your Donations Go Further

We're counting on the support of the generous donors who believe in our mission and want to help us bring these critical programs to more schools next year. We’re currently supporting more than 8,300 students at 47 area middle and high schools, and we have more schools waiting for our programs.

Matching Donations

Another way for individuals, businesses and organizations to make a big impact is by matching gifts made during our fundraisers. There are so many engaging ways to implement the sponsorships–gift levels, time periods, and more! It’s a great way to help more local students!
