Red Bag Program

The Red Bag Program is the heart of what we do at Food For Neighbors. Five times a year, you can fill a Red Bag (that we supply) with food from our grocery list. Drivers pick up the filled bag right from your front door and volunteers sort the food to distribute to local schools the same day. Students in your local community will immediately benefit from your generosity!

Step 1: Request a Bag

If you would like to donate food through the Red Bag Program, simply click below to submit your bag request. We will process your form and contact you about how to get started.

Learn more about the Red Bag Program here.

Step 2: Fill a Bag

On your next shopping trip, purchase some of the food items listed on the tag that is attached to the bag. (You don't need to purchase everything.)

No tag? No problem! We have  a printable shopping list .

Step 3: Leave Your Bag Out

Put the bag outside your front door by 8:30 a.m. on the Saturdays listed on the tag. (Don't worry - we'll send you several email/text reminders prior to the pickup date.)  We will leave you a new bag and email you a receipt for your donation. If you forget to leave your bag out, click here.

If you would like to include a monetary donation in your Red Bag, please donate online instead.

Thank you for giving so generously to local teens.

What if my Red Bag isn't picked up or I forget to leave it out?

Can't leave a bag? No problem!

If you can't leave a bag for our Red Bag pickup, you may donate a Virtual Red Bag instead. This is a great option if you live in an apartment and/or outside of our pickup area.  It's also a wonderful opportunity to give a little extra.  Virtual Red Bag donations allow our volunteers to purchase food our pantries need in between food collection events as well as to give grocery gift cards to the families we serve.
